Privacy Policy

Camiscorder is designed to be private by default. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data.

Data we collect

None. Camiscorder has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. We do not have a server that receives your information.

How your content is handled

Everything you do in Camiscorder happens locally on your Mac:

• Window recordings, imported media, and images you add stay on your device.
• Projects are saved as .camiscorder files in locations you choose.
• Exported videos and screenshots are written only to the folders you select.
• Optional caption translation uses Apple's on-device Translation framework (macOS 15+); your text is processed on your Mac and is not sent to us.

Permissions

Camiscorder requests macOS Screen Recording permission solely to capture the app window you choose to record. It runs in the App Sandbox and only accesses files you explicitly open, drop in, or save.

Children's privacy

Camiscorder does not collect data from anyone, including children.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
